AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Everything you need to know about preparing, formatting and submitting your manuscript. 

Submissions to RASĀVYAAN: Journal of Transdisciplinary Discourses must be original, unpublished and aligned with the journal’s Scope and Focus. By submitting, authors confirm that their work transcends traditional academic silos and addresses complex global challenges through integrative approaches.

Manuscripts should follow the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (APA), 7th Edition.

Authors may use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., ChatGPT) during the preparation of their manuscript but must transparently disclose their use in the methodology or acknowledgments section. AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and ethical integrity of their work.

  

Manuscript Types & Word Limits

Word counts include references, tables, and figures.

  • Research Articles: 5,000–8,000 words
  • Review Papers: 6,000–10,000 words
  • Conceptual Essays: 3,000–5,000 words
  • Case Studies: 3,000–6,000 words
  • Interdisciplinary Analyses: 4,000–7,000 words
  • Critical Discourses: 2,000–4,000 words
  • Technical Reports: 2,000–4,000 words

General Requirements

  • Double-anonymous review: All identifying information must be removed from the manuscript document and file properties.
  • Keywords: Provide 4–7 relevant keywords.
  • Visuals: Maximum of 5 tables and/or figures per manuscript.
  • Ethics: IRB approval (or equivalent ethical clearance/justification) is required for research involving human subjects.
  • Files to Submit: Submit two separate files: (1) a blinded manuscript and (2) a title page with full author details.
  • Cover Letter: Include a cover letter explaining the manuscript’s transdisciplinary contribution and its fit with RASĀVYAAN’s vision.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Please review this checklist before submitting. All submissions must meet the following requirements:

  • Originality: The submission must be original, has not been published previously, and is not under consideration elsewhere.
  • Formatting: The manuscript complies with APA 7th edition formatting and citation requirements.
  • Length: The manuscript meets the word limit for the selected submission type (including references, tables, and figures).
  • Anonymization: All identifying information has been removed from the manuscript and file properties to ensure double-anonymous review.
  • Files: A separate title page (with author names, affiliations, emails, and brief bios) and a blinded manuscript have been uploaded.
  • Cover Letter: A cover letter is provided, clearly explaining how the research bridges theory and practice across disciplines and aligns with the journal’s aims.
  • Keywords: The submission includes 4–7 keywords.
  • Visual Limits: The manuscript includes no more than five (5) tables and/or figures.
  • Ethical Clearance: IRB approval (or equivalent) has been obtained, or a justification is provided if not required.
  • Transdisciplinary Focus: The manuscript clearly articulates its interdisciplinary methodology and situates the study within current global challenges.
  • Literature: The manuscript engages with relevant, up-to-date scholarly literature, including appropriate citations bridging the fields discussed.
  • Methodology: Where applicable, the manuscript clearly reports methodological approaches, sample sizes, and appropriate analytical measures.
  • AI Disclosure: Any use of AI tools has been transparently disclosed, and the authors accept full responsibility for the content.
  • Processing Charges: Upon acceptance, authors agree to the applicable Article Processing Charges (APC), with waivers or discounts applied where applicable.

Detailed Submission Categories

Research Articles 

Submissions in this category use quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods to make a demonstratively significant advancement in transdisciplinary research. They must showcase strong conceptual grounding, analytical depth, and clear relevance to emerging global concerns.

Review Papers 

Comprehensive reviews that synthesize existing literature across multiple disciplines to identify gaps, propose new integrative frameworks, or offer fresh perspectives on complex global issues.

Conceptual Essays 

Thought-provoking essays that challenge conventional disciplinary boundaries. These pieces should propose innovative theoretical convergences or reflect critically on the intersection of humanities, social sciences, and emerging technologies.

Case Studies 

Detailed examinations of specific, real-world problems or innovation ecosystems where interdisciplinary methodologies were applied. Must demonstrate a clear bridge between theory and practice.

Interdisciplinary Analyses 

Analytical pieces that explicitly take a concept, methodology, or problem and examine it through the lens of two or more distinct academic disciplines (e.g., Human-Technology Interaction, Health Humanities).

Critical Discourses 

Shorter, reflective pieces designed to provoke dialogue. These submissions should address current debates in public policy, cultural studies, or the ethics of technology.

Technical Reports 

Concise reports detailing the outcomes of collaborative, cross-disciplinary projects, sustainable resource developments, or public sphere initiatives.
